Nancy was an inspiration to all of us whether we sew, quilt, embroider or have other creative outlets. Richard, thank you for writing a book to continue her legacy. I had watched her from the very beginning and still do. I almost dont remember a time when I didnt watch Nancy on TV. I met Nancy at a Sewing Expo in Lakeland, Florida several years ago after having watched her shows for many, many years. I read Nancys first book Seams Unlikely and enjoyed it very muchI would enjoy reading the follow-up. Nancy Zieman touched the lives of millions as they stitched alongside, or simply tuned in to watch, the inimitable Nancy Zieman and guests on Public Television's longest-running sewing show [35 years], Sewing With Nancy. I have her Seams Unlikely, made me feel closer to her and your family. Ive watched her for Many, many years. I anxiously look forward to reading both books and hope I win one. She was always so graceful and a wonderful host to guests. Nancys life was a testimony how Gods grace holds believers up in midst of trials and tribulations. She had a peace and calmness about her. Born and raised in San Francisco, Andrew Zieman went back to his childhood alma mater - Sherman Elementary - to teach. I look forward very much to reading this new book. When Seams Unlikely was published, I took it everywhere and read anywhere from paragraphs to several pages at a time. Saturday morning watching Sewing with Nancy is a ritual in my house. Have been a customer from the early newsletter mail order catalog days until now. Zimmerman is the first pianist to have recorded the complete works of Scott Joplin and in 1987 was awarded the first place prize "Champion Ragtime Performer of the World". I lost the vision on the right side of both eyes due to surgery. Nancy was a wonderful woman who shared her talents every week with all her sewing fans. I also did well in Make-It-Yourself With Wool competitions, placing 3rd in the Colorado State competition. They are my go to when I have something I dont know how to do. When I reached the end of Nancys book, I found myself curious to know more. I have learned so much from watching her on TV along with the guests that she would have on her show. Today we celebrate Nancy as a businesswoman, home economist, national sewing authority, daughter, niece, sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and inspiration to all.
